Biography:
AUBURN –Annette M. Ouellette, 83, a resident of Auburn, formerly of Rumford, died October 31st, 2014 at the Hospice House in Auburn with her daughters by her side.
She was born in Chisholm, July 8, 1931, the daughter of Andrea and Alma (Fournier) Jolicoeur. She was educated in Jay schools.
On November 23rd, 1953 Annette married her beloved husband, Raymond Ouellette. She was a loving wife, mother, memere, and friend. She was a very giving person, always willing to lend a helping hand.
Annette worked for many years as a teacher’s assistant at the Rumford Center Elementary School and later as secretary to the Rumford schools superintendent. After retiring she volunteered at the Rumford Community Hospital.
Annette cherished the time she spent with her family. She took great pride in the academic, athletic, and personal achievements of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends, family gatherings, skiing, weekly “club” with her friends and helping others.
She leaves behind two daughters, Linda and her husband Marc Lavoie of Lewiston, Marie and her husband John Zinck of Scarborough; son Michael Ouellette and his wife Carol from Australia; 7 grandchildren, Angela (Lavoie) and her husband Roger Barkan, Jeffrey Lavoie, Nicholas Zinck and his wife Rachael, Justin Zinck, Jessica (Ouellette) and husband Chris Keeble, Jonathan Ouellette and his wife Briony, and Jaclyn Ouellette; 6 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Abigail, Madeleine, Eva, Lilly, and Jackson; brother Gerard Jolicoeur and his wife Kathy. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond in 2003; son Richard in 1983; and her sister Dorothy Landry.
Annette will always be remembered for her kindness, giving spirit, ability to make us laugh, and especially for her love and devotion to family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Schooner Estates, D-3 staff at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, and the Hospice House for the exceptional care given to ‘mom’ Annette.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at Franco American Center, 46 Cedar Street, Lewiston, ME on Wednesday, November 5th, at 1 PM with the Rev. David Zigler officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Annette’s memory to the Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice, 15 Strawberry Avenue, Lewiston, ME 04240.
