Raymond Riendeau
Date of Death: July 7, 2023
Date of Birth: January 20, 1939
Biography:
Raymond Wilfred Riendeau, 84, of Topsham, died on Friday, July 7, 2023 at Mid Coast Senior Health
He was born on January 20, 1939 a son of Wilfred S Riendeau and Beatrice L Newell. Ray enjoyed spending time with his wife, Faye, who he was married to for 62 years, visiting with his grandkids, watching Notre Dame football, eating lobster and drinking Gin and Tonics (the cheap stuff, because as he would advise – “you don’t need the expensive stuff if you are just mixing it”).
After graduating from Brunswick High School in 1957, Ray checked off as many of the “what do I want to be when I grow up?” options as he could. He was an Army soldier, a police officer, a fireman, and a shop owner (Riendeau’s Variety). However, he is best known for being a builder. The many houses he built can be found all over the Topsham/Brunswick area – homes where families are raised, traditions are born, and memories are made. These homes are his legacy within the Topsham and Brunswick communities.
Ray is survived by his wife, Faye L. Riendeau, his daughter Tammy Riendeau and her partner, Dwayne Palmer, his son Eric Riendeau and his wife, Christine Riendeau, his grandchildren: Miranda Alexander, Matthew Alexander, Marissa Alexander, Maggie Riendeau, Emmie Riendeau, Great-Grandchild Brenley Hodgekins as well as by his brother, Ronald Riendeau and his wife Ann-Marie
Ray was predeceased by his parents Wilfred S Riendeau and Beatrice L Newell
