Biography:

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Carol Ann Sharp on April 9th, 2024, at the Brentwood facility in Yarmouth, Maine. Her loved ones surrounded Carol throughout her journey with Alzheimer's, and she passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Carol was born to Gladys and Rex Keen on July 16th, 1945. Carol's selfless dedication to nursing and unwavering support for her family and friends have left an indelible mark on the community. Her contributions as an emergency room nurse, director of nursing, and nurse administrator of several nursing homes in the Midcoast area are a testament to her unwavering commitment to serving others. Carol was a member of many women's clubs and organizations, supporting women and encouraging them in their professional goals. She was an avid reader who enjoyed camping, dancing, sports, and spending time with her family and friends. Carol will be deeply missed by all who know her.

Carol was predeceased by her parents, Rex and Gladys Keen. Her husband, Richard Sharp, for 44 years until his passing in 2010. She is survived by her brother, Richard Keen, and his wife, Pam; her two daughters, Laura Larson and her husband, Keith; Bonnie Dumont and her husband, Keith. Her five grandsons are Brady Larson, Alexander Larson, Ryan Dumont, Jacob Dumont, and Cody Larson. She will be forever missed but never forgotten.

The celebration of Carol Ann Sharp's life will be held on June 8th, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., at Curtis Memorial Library’s Morrell Meeting Room. Additional parking for the library can be found behind the library (Union Street Municipal Parking Lot). 

In lieu of flowers please make donations in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
