Vera (Pulminskas) Martin, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, caregiver, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026, at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. She was 77 years old.

Thomas B. Glazier

February 1, 1937-August 1, 2026

Thomas B. Glazier, 89, passed away peacefully at home on August 1, 2026, after a four-year battle with cancer. His loving wife, Ruth Michaud Glazier, was by his side.

Tom is survived by his wife, Ruth; his daughter, Tammi Glazier, and her husband, Dan Pelletier; his son, Thomas Glazier II; his stepdaughters, Barbara Gardner and Carol Dove; his sister, Julie Glazier; and his bonus children, Joseph Michaud and his wife, Denise; Ann Michaud; Catherina Blais and her husband, Keith; Patty Tufts and her husband, Bruce; and William Michaud and his wife, Joyce. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom loved him dearly.

Howard Nannen, 85, died peacefully at home in Brunswick, Maine, on July 24, after ten years of progressing Alzheimer’s dementia. Although the illness took away many of his abilities, he maintained his positive and kind personality.

David Otto Solmitz carried forward his father Water's lifelong commitment to foster communities and a world in which people live harmoniously with one another. David was born on June 2, 1943, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was raised in Brunswick, Maine, and died peacefully at his home in Phippsburg, Maine, on August 3,2026 , with his wife, Jing Ye, by his side.

Paul Eastman, 84, of Lisbon Falls Maine passed away Friday May 29, 2026, at Andwell Hospice House in Auburn, ME.   

He was born in Peterborough, New Hampshire on May 20, 1942; third son to Francis and Elizabeth Eastman.

Sandra Sawyer Drake, 89, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 23, 2026, at Avita of Brunswick.

Sandra was born on November 15, 1936, in Brewer, Maine, to Dorris Wood Farrar and Earl Sawyer. She attended New Britain High School in Connecticut.

Amber Rose Cox

née Theriault

Amber Rose Cox, née Theriault, 62, of Auburn, Maine, passed away on July 27, 2026, after facing cancer with remarkable grace, positivity, and an unwavering concern for the well-being of others. Her resilience, generosity, and compassion were a reflection of the way she lived every day of her life.

Amber lived with joy and intention—a life filled with spark, spirit, kindness, and connection. She embraced every moment with a sparkle in her eye and a hint of mischief that made people feel instantly at ease. She was always ready for an adventure, the first to dance, the first to laugh, and the first to say yes to making memories. Her optimism was contagious, her smile unforgettable, and her ability to bring people together was one of her greatest gifts.

Litchfield- Charity Lynn Heroux 52 of Litchfield Maine passed away peacefully on June 26,2026 after suffering a brain aneurysm. She was born in Augusta on March 23,1974, to Leon Johnson and Deborah (Sproul Johnson. She was raised in Whitefield and spent summers at camp in Somerville on Long Pond.

Linda Libby Gray Houghton

There are people whose greatest gift is making others feel seen, heard, and deeply valued. Linda Libby Gray Houghton had that gift. Whether you had known her your entire life or had only just met her, she had a way of making you feel like you were the most important person in the room. Her kindness was genuine, her smile came easily, and her heart always seemed to have room for one more.

Linda passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at the age of 82, surrounded by the love of her family. Her life was defined not by the hardships she endured, but by the grace, resilience, compassion, and quiet strength with which she lived every day. 

Francois E. Preshong, 84 of Lewiston Maine. Died on July 6, 2026 in his home surrounded by family. He was born on November 19^, 1941, a son of Frank C. Preshong and Irene Preshong Glidden (Colfer).

Francois worked for the United States Postal Service for 30 years and later for United Ambulance. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the NRA. 

Charles E Stain, age 64, of Portland, ME, passed away on July 10, 2026. He was in the company of his devoted partner of 15 years, Gail Lane and her daughter Jennifer. He was deeply loved and will be missed. He was a great father and grandfather and will forever be cherished by his children, grandchildren, many cousins and friends.

Greene- Janis Punteri Batron, 74 died on July 14, 2026 of pancreatic cancer. She was born on January 14, 1952, the daughter of Mirelle (Boisvert) and Nicholas Punteri.

She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1970. She married Hollis Batron in 1971 and he died in 2003. She is survived by her son Ken Batron and Daughter Kellie (Doug) Frazier; six grandchildren Ashley, Robert (Jenna), Haley, Nick (Bree), Katie (Mat) and Rebecca (Gabe). She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren; Wyatt, Oliver, Lucas, Lirriel and Lillianna.

She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Robert and his family in 1972.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Jason Louis Harris, 43, of Lewiston, Maine, passed away on June 30, 2026, in his hometown. Born on June 7, 1983, in Lewiston, Jason spent his life embracing the moments that brought him joy and fulfillment.

In Loving Memory of Leroy Nelson Mead

Leroy Nelson Mead, 73, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, in Augusta, Maine. He was born on August 3, 1952, in Owosso, Michigan, to Betty Louise Mead and Robert Lee Mead.

Leroy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for two years. Following his military service, he spent many years as a truck driver before answering a calling to ministry, faithfully serving as a minister for 15 years. Throughout his life, Leroy was known for his strong faith, dedication to others, and unwavering love for his family.

Nancy Mable Valiente (née Leeman), affectionately known throughout her church community as Sister Nancy, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, at the age of 72 in Lewiston, Maine.

Nancy was born on April 6, 1954, in Lewiston, and grew up in Oxford. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy Leeman and was one of seven children. She is survived by her brothers, Richard Leeman, Gordon Leeman and Steven Leeman, and her sister, Dorothy Nurmi. She was preceded in death by her sister, Janice Leeman, and her brother, Peter Leeman.

After meeting her husband, Irving Valiente, the ever-adventurous Nancy moved to New York City in the mid-1970s. She and Irving were married in 1980 and together built a loving home, welcoming their two sons. In 1995, they returned to Maine, where Nancy continued to devote her life to her faith, her family, and serving those around her.

John C. Moulton, 74, passed away on July 1, 2026, at his beloved, octagonal home in Harpswell, Maine. He was the son of Catherine and Ralph Moulton of Norway, Maine, and lived a life marked by curiosity, creativity, and a readiness for adventure.

Stanley L Libby Jr, age 70, On June 30, 2026, passed away peacefully with loving family at his side. He was receiving care at the Hawthorne House in Freeport Maine for about 1 year. He is the beloved son of Stanley L and Marion S Libby, predeceased and from Freeport.

  Vaughan M. Jones, 76, of Durham, Maine, passed away peacefully on June 9th, 2026, surrounded by his loving relatives.
   Vaughan was born on June 6, 1950. He was the son of the late Allan Jones and Jacqueline Jones. Throughout his life, Vaughan was known for his hardworking nature, generous spirit, and his ability to make friends wherever he went.

Lewiston-Monita (Pratt) Ducharme of Winthrop, born in Lewiston, Maine, passed away at D'Youville Pavilion on June 26, 2026 at the age of 79.

Bridgton-Celina Ann Miner, 86, died on June 19, 2026, after a brief illness.

She was born in Lewiston on January 8, 1940. 

Edwin “Rod” Wilson, 74, passed away in his home on June 25, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lewiston, Maine, on July 1, 1951, to Edwin Wilson and Lucille Bell (Wilson) LaFrance, Rod was raised in Sabattus and remained deeply connected to his Maine roots throughout his life.

Darrell Overmiller of Topsham, Maine, passed on the evening of June 11th after battling a long illness.

Born in Damariscotta, Darrell attended Morse High School in Bath. An exceptionally talented Metal Fabricator, he owned and operated Overmiller Metal Fab in West Bath for many years.

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of June I. Fuller, a beloved soul whose presence brought warmth and joy to all who knew her. June passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026, at the Hospice House in Auburn, Maine, surrounded by the love of her dear ones. Her journey, marked by kindness and an unwavering generosity, began in Lewiston, Maine, on September 11, 1955.

Richard Patrick Paaso, 84, of Hanover, died on June 13th, 2026, at The Woodlands Memory Care Center of Lewiston

Born, March 23rd, 1942, to Barbara Bushey and Mr. Paaso in Duluth, Minnesota.

Patricia Janet Ayotte, 74, of Lisbon, Maine, passed away at home on June 9th, surrounded by the deep love of her family. Born in Lewiston on December 23, 1951, she was the daughter of Bertrand and Angela Bonneau.

Pat's greatest joy in life was her family; her world truly revolved around the people she loved. A warm and generous host, her home was always filled with laughter and an abundance of delicious food—no one ever left her table hungry.

George Almon Fogg

George A. Fogg, 93 of Auburn, Maine died May 29, 2026 at Clover Manor in Auburn.

Born on the family farm at Fogg’s Corner in Greene, Maine, on July 15, 1932, the son of George E. Fogg and Nellie S. Fogg (Wright).

He attended Greene schools, Jordan Grammar of Lewiston and graduated from Lewiston High

School in 1951. He furthered his education and graduated from SMVTI in 1962 and worked nearly 30 years for AT&T, Long Lines in Springfield, Massachusetts and Portland, Maine.

Bilodeau, Marc D, 62 of Auburn, ME passed January 24, 2026.  Graveside services Monday, June 22 at Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery 163 Mt. Vernon Rd., Augusta, ME at 12 noon.

Neil Oscar Tikander, 78 of West Paris passed away on June 6, 2026 at the Maine Veterans Home in South Paris, Me, He was born on December 19, 1947, a son of the late Oscar “Doc” and L. Elizabeth “Betty” Ollikainen Tikander.  

At a young age he moved with his family to South Paris, Maine He graduated from Oxford Hills High School in 1965. He then attended East Coast Aero Tech in Massachusetts, graduating in 1967. Neil worked for Thurston Aircraft Corp as an Airframe and Powerplant mechanic, until being drafted into the U.S. Army. He served in Vietnam and Laos in a Special Operations Air Assault Unit of the 7^th Air Calvary as a helicopter door gunner and infantry squad leader; attached to the First Air Calvary Division. Neil saw action in Khe-Sanh; the Battle of Hue and the A-Shau Valley Campaign. He was wounded for a second time during the Tet-Offensive and spent a year in the hospital recovering.

Jane Katherine Frizzell (Monarch), aged 80, passed away peacefully in her home overlooking Taylor Pond in Auburn, Maine on May 23, 2026 after a short illness. A loving mother and grandmother, she was known for her love of learning, her passion for reading, and her desire to help all the people and animals she encountered.  Jane was born in Dayton, Ohio and moved to Boston Massachusetts as a child, where she spent her childhood and young adulthood. She excelled in school at an early age and was placed into the prestigious Girls Latin School for High School, where she later graduated with honors. After high school, she attended Northeastern University and graduated with honors. At Northeastern, she also served as the editor of the college newspaper. She graduated with a degree in journalism but took a different path and began a career in IT. 

David M. Smith, 79, of Chelsea, Maine, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, with his family by his side.

David was born in Gardiner, Maine, on August 11, 1946, to Isaac and Maxine (Roderick) Smith.

Bruce Earl Tuttle 68, of Poland, Maine went to be with his Savior on May 24th 2026 unexpectedly at CMMC with family at his side.

AUBURN – Ann M. Charest, 59, of Auburn, passed away unexpectedly on 5/28/2026, with her beloved fur baby faithfully by her side.

Ernest A Allain, Sr., 95, of Augusta, Maine, passed away peacefully at Togus Springs on May 30, 2026. After a brief illness, he entered the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He grew up in Madison, Maine. He served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force and was deployed during the Korean War. His final employment was with Statler Tissue paper mill.

He was married to the love of his life, Janice Allain on November 7, 1966. He is survived by his spouse, Janice Allain; their children, Kathleen Farrington, Anita Tufts, Pamela Hopper, Linda Nadeau, John Wood, Barbara Mansir, and Beverly St. Amand; and honorary mention to Ralph Demmons, whom Ernie, Jr. brought home and who has been a blessing to the family. He was predeceased by his children, Edwin Kahkonen, Ernest Verrill, Walter Harding, Elsie Harding, Nelson Harding, and Ernest Allain, Jr.

Chad E. Lavoie, 50, of Turner, Maine, passed away on May 17, 2026, in Turner at home with his wife and children by his side Born on November 17, 1975, in Lewiston, Maine, Chad lived a life defined by dedication to his family and passions.

Johnnie Rene’ Lewallen, 75, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, in Brunswick, Maine. 

Daniel R. Maybury, 65 of Poland, Maine passed away on May 27th after a courageous fight with cancer, with his wife by his side.

David Huyler Dexter, born on March 7, 1945 (a few weeks before the death of FDR, as David liked to say, passed away at his home in Auburn, Maine, on May 25, 2026.

John Arlington Blair, Jr. passed away at his home in Yarmouth, Maine, on Monday, May 18,  2026. He showed great strength, fortitude, and positive attitude throughout these past few years while fighting cancer.

Paul D Sherman 1943-2026

Paul D. Sherman, son of late Francis H Sherman and Eleanor Brown Sherman was born November 1, 1943 at Miles Memorial Hospital, Damariscotta, Maine. He attended Richmond High School where he excelled academically. He received a BS Degree in mathematics and chemistry from University of Maine, and an MBA degree from Thomas College.

David Schmidt, 88, of Augusta passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026.

He was born in Farmington to Dr. Lorrimer Schmidt and Dorothy Schmidt on April 20,1938.

Stephen was born in 1954 to Stephen F. Brezinski and Helen J Brezinski.

He is survived by Roberta, his wife of 40 years, their two children, Seth and Stacia Brezinski, and Stacia’s fiance, Erica, as well as his siblings Thomas Brezinski and his wife Ellen, and sisters Stephanie, Janis, and Theresa. He also wanted to give recognition to a few of his in-laws, Anne and Lenny Kovit and his niece Mia and husband Mark Kheyfetz, who offered such loving support in his last months.

Margaret Deans Totten, 76 of West Bath, Maine passed away March 20, 2026, at her home. Born in Biddeford, Maine, the daughter of William and Pauline Deans, Margaret had a lifelong passion for horses and was a pioneer for women in veterinary medicine.A graduate of Biddeford High School, she attended University of Vermont, and after 2 years moved on to Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1974, one of the few women in her class. She also obtained her Veterinary Acupuncturist certification from the Chi Institute.

Poland - Raymond Arthur Strout, 92, of Poland passed away at the home he and his wife built, surrounded by his family. Raymond Arthur Strout was born January 1, 1934, to Hubert Arthur Strout and Ruby Velvia Strout of Livermore.
