Thomas B. Glazier, 89, passed away peacefully at home on August 1, 2026, after a four-year battle with cancer. His loving wife, Ruth Michaud Glazier, was by his side.
Tom is survived by his wife, Ruth; his daughter, Tammi Glazier, and her husband, Dan Pelletier; his son, Thomas Glazier II; his stepdaughters, Barbara Gardner and Carol Dove; his sister, Julie Glazier; and his bonus children, Joseph Michaud and his wife, Denise; Ann Michaud; Catherina Blais and her husband, Keith; Patty Tufts and her husband, Bruce; and William Michaud and his wife, Joyce. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom loved him dearly.

Amber Rose Cox, née Theriault, 62, of Auburn, Maine, passed away on July 27, 2026, after facing cancer with remarkable grace, positivity, and an unwavering concern for the well-being of others. Her resilience, generosity, and compassion were a reflection of the way she lived every day of her life.
Amber lived with joy and intention—a life filled with spark, spirit, kindness, and connection. Whether you had known her your entire life or had only just met her, she had a way of making you feel like you were the most important person in the room. Her kindness was genuine, her smile came easily, and her heart always seemed to have room for one more.
Linda passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at the age of 82, surrounded by the love of her family. Her life was defined not by the hardships she endured, but by the grace, resilience, compassion, and quiet strength with which she lived every day.

Francois worked for the United States Postal Service for 30 years and later for United Ambulance. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the NRA.

Greene- Janis Punteri Batron, 74 died on July 14, 2026 of pancreatic cancer. She was born on January 14, 1952, the daughter of Mirelle (Boisvert) and Nicholas Punteri.
She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1970. She married Hollis Batron in 1971 and he died in 2003. She is survived by her son Ken Batron and Daughter Kellie (Doug) Frazier; six grandchildren Ashley, Robert (Jenna), Haley, Nick (Bree), Katie (Mat) and Rebecca (Gabe). She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren; Wyatt, Oliver, Lucas, Lirriel and Lillianna.
She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Robert and his family in 1972.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Leroy Nelson Mead, 73, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, in Augusta, Maine. He was born on August 3, 1952, in Owosso, Michigan, to Betty Louise Mead and Robert Lee Mead.
Leroy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for two years. Following his military service, he spent many years as a truck driver before answering a calling to ministry, faithfully serving as a minister for 15 years. Throughout his life, Leroy was known for his strong faith, dedication to others, and unwavering love for his family.

Nancy Mable Valiente (née Leeman), affectionately known throughout her church community as Sister Nancy, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, at the age of 72 in Lewiston, Maine.
Nancy was born on April 6, 1954, in Lewiston, and grew up in Oxford. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy Leeman and was one of seven children. She is survived by her brothers, Richard Leeman, Gordon Leeman and Steven Leeman, and her sister, Dorothy Nurmi. She was preceded in death by her sister, Janice Leeman, and her brother, Peter Leeman.
After meeting her husband, Irving Valiente, the ever-adventurous Nancy moved to New York City in the mid-1970s. She and Irving were married in 1980 and together built a loving home, welcoming their two sons. In 1995, they returned to Maine, where Nancy continued to devote her life to her faith, her family, and serving those around her.

Born on the family farm at Fogg’s Corner in Greene, Maine, on July 15, 1932, the son of George E. Fogg and Nellie S. Fogg (Wright).

School in 1951. He furthered his education and graduated from SMVTI in 1962 and worked nearly 30 years for AT&T, Long Lines in Springfield, Massachusetts and Portland, Maine.

Neil Oscar Tikander, 78 of West Paris passed away on June 6, 2026 at the Maine Veterans Home in South Paris, Me, He was born on December 19, 1947, a son of the late Oscar “Doc” and L. Elizabeth “Betty” Ollikainen Tikander.
At a young age he moved with his family to South Paris, Maine He graduated from Oxford Hills High School in 1965. He then attended East Coast Aero Tech in Massachusetts, graduating in 1967. Neil worked for Thurston Aircraft Corp as an Airframe and Powerplant mechanic, until being drafted into the U.S. Army. He served in Vietnam and Laos in a Special Operations Air Assault Unit of the 7th Air Calvary as a helicopter door gunner and infantry squad leader; attached to the First Air Calvary Division. Neil saw action in Khe-Sanh; the Battle of Hue and the A-Shau Valley Campaign. He was wounded for a second time during the Tet-Offensive and spent a year in the hospital recovering.

Jane Katherine Frizzell (Monarch), aged 80, passed away peacefully in her home overlooking Taylor Pond in Auburn, Maine on May 23, 2026 after a short illness. A loving mother and grandmother, she was known for her love of learning, her passion for reading, and her desire to help all the people and animals she encountered. Jane was born in Dayton, Ohio and moved to Boston Massachusetts as a child, where she spent her childhood and young adulthood. She excelled in school at an early age and was placed into the prestigious Girls Latin School for High School, where she later graduated with honors. After high school, she attended Northeastern University and graduated with honors. At Northeastern, she also served as the editor of the college newspaper. She graduated with a degree in journalism but took a different path and began a career in IT.

Ernest A Allain, Sr., 95, of Augusta, Maine, passed away peacefully at Togus Springs on May 30, 2026. After a brief illness, he entered the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He grew up in Madison, Maine. He served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force and was deployed during the Korean War. His final employment was with Statler Tissue paper mill.
He was married to the love of his life, Janice Allain on November 7, 1966. He is survived by his spouse, Janice Allain; their children, Kathleen Farrington, Anita Tufts, Pamela Hopper, Linda Nadeau, John Wood, Barbara Mansir, and Beverly St. Amand; and honorary mention to Ralph Demmons, whom Ernie, Jr. brought home and who has been a blessing to the family. He was predeceased by his children, Edwin Kahkonen, Ernest Verrill, Walter Harding, Elsie Harding, Nelson Harding, and Ernest Allain, Jr.

He also wanted to give recognition to a few of his in-laws, Anne and Lenny Kovit and his niece Mia and husband Mark Kheyfetz, who offered such loving support in his last months.

Margaret Deans Totten, 76 of West Bath, Maine passed away March 20, 2026, at her home. Born in Biddeford, Maine, the daughter of William and Pauline Deans, Margaret had a lifelong passion for horses and was a pioneer for women in veterinary medicine.A graduate of Biddeford High School, she attended University of Vermont, and after 2 years moved on to Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1974, one of the few women in her class. She also obtained her Veterinary Acupuncturist certification from the Chi Institute.
