
Litchfield- Charity Lynn Heroux 52 of Litchfield Maine passed away peacefully on June 26,2026 after suffering a brain aneurysm. She was born in Augusta on March 23,1974, to Leon Johnson and Deborah (Sproul Johnson. She was raised in Whitefield and spent summers at camp in Somerville on Long Pond.
She attended Whitefield schools and graduated from Erskine Academy class of 1992.
Charity had the most amazing blue eyes and a smile and personality that just would light up a room. There isn't a person that met her that was not touched by her spirit and kindness. She always had a kind word and demeanor that made everybody smile. She was always full of adventure, and her passion was riding Crimsin, her Harley Road Glide. She enjoyed riding and seeing the many sites near and far. She cherished wildlife, especially birds and turtles.
Charity married her husband Darrell in 2001. Together they raised their boys first
in South China and then in Somerville. In 2024 she got to move to her new home in Litchfield. Together Charity and Darrell shared many memories and times together, from traveling, mud racing, snowmobiling, ATVing, playing pool and riding motorcycles. She was always the happiest when on the go. She was very proud to be the President of the Skullz & Haloz One of the chapters of the Chrome Angels RC.
Charity spent most of her career working for the Togus VA system. She enjoyed helping the veterans any way that she could. She belonged to many organizations over the years. She loved to be involved and donate her time to help others. She really loved placing wreaths on the graves as part of Wreaths Across America.
Charity is survived by her husband Darrell, son Michael and his wife Taylor and their expected twin daughters Rhya and Ember Johnson, stepson Dylan Heroux and his fiancé Jessica Freeman and her children Ricky and lan. Sisters Sabrina Brown and Kathie Johnson, brothers Jeffery Johnson and Timothy Johnson and their respective families. Her beloved dog Bailey and cats Tiger, Simba and Ditto.
There will be a Celebration of Life on September 12,2026 at the family home. 517 Oak Hill Rd,
Litchfield ME at 2PM. All are welcome to attend.
