Francois E. Preshong, 84 of Lewiston Maine. Died on July 6, 2026 in his home surrounded by family. He was born on November 19, 1941, a son of Frank C. Preshong and Irene Preshong Glidden (Colfer).
Francois worked for the United States Postal Service for 30 years and later for United Ambulance. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the NRA.
Francois enjoyed Camping, Hiking, Canoeing, and traveling with his RV. He enjoyed listening to the oldies music by Elvis and by the Bee Gees.
He was predeceased by his parents and 12 siblings.
Francois is survived by his 4 children: Daughters-Suzanne Ouellette, Michelle Veilleux and husband Robert Levi Veilleux, Valerie Preshong and partner Curt Villarouel, Son- James F Preshong and wife Katherine Preshong. 6 grandchildren: Meagan Ouellette, Amanda Ouellette, Jessica Cummings and husband Nicholas Cummings, Nicolas Veilleux and wife Sophie Veilleux, Matthew Avila and partner Joanna Kinghorn, and Ashley Preshong. 4 Great grandchildren: Madelyn and Chloe Cummings, Briar and Rowan Veilleux.
Burial to be held on August 8, 2026, 11:00 a.m. St. Joseph's Cemetery, 31 Plummer St. Gardiner followed by a Celebration of Life gathering in the St. Joseph Church Hall, 110 School Street, Gardiner.
