Gaetan C. Bolduc, 65, of Greene, Maine passed away in his home on 4-24-26 after a long illness.
Gaetan was born on 11-29-60 to his parents, Norman H. Bolduc (Tom) and Yvette I. Bolduc. He is predeceased by both parents and his niece, Jessica E. St.Pierre. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia R Ayotte, his brother Claude Bolduc and wife Debbie Bolduc, sister Claudette St.Pierre and husband Marcel St.Pierre, brother Patrick Bolduc and wife Tara Bolduc, sister Lisa Greenleaf and her husband David Greenleaf.
Gaetan spent 42 years working in the woods as a dedicated lumberjack, a career that reflected his strength, resilience, and deep connection to the land. For the past 30 years, he worked side by side with his brother, Patrick Bolduc, as business partners in Bolduc Brothers Logging and Chipping, LLC, building not only a successful operation but also a legacy of hard work and family commitment. Over the years, their father, Norman Bolduc, also worked alongside them as needed, contributing 8 to 10 years of support and experience. Gaetan s work was truly a family effort, with additional help from his brother, Claude Bolduc, as well as his nephews, Nathan Osgood, Cole Bolduc, Garrett Bolduc, and Hank Arsenault, all of whom shared in the pride and tradition of the business.
Outside of his work, Gaetan found his greatest joy in the outdoors, especially when spending time with those he loved, including his wife of 35 years, Pat Ayotte. He was a longtime golfer and, alongside his wife, a proud member of Springbrook Golf Course. His love of the outdoors began with family camping trips, including many years of annual Memorial Day weekend gatherings in Eustis with the extended Bolduc family. These trips brought together parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews, with many stories shared around the campfire after long days of fishing.
He was an avid hunter, participating in all seasons, and was especially proud of his accomplishments in bow hunting, a pursuit that requires skill, patience, and deep respect for the sport. He also loved to fish. Whether casting a line alone or sharing the day with family and friends, it was a pastime that brought him great joy and lasting memories.
Gaetan had a deep love for sports that went far beyond simply playing the game. While he enjoyed being on the field himself, he was especially gifted in his ability to coach and teach others, demonstrating patience, knowledge, and a natural instinct for leadership. He took pride in helping others grow, always encouraging and guiding those around him while sharing his passion for the game.
He also enjoyed spending time at his favorite local spot, Little Joe s, where he appreciated the food, drinks, and familiar company. A special thank you is extended to Jessica for always preparing the meals he loved so much. Thank you also to Tami, who always made sure he had a place to sit.
Gaetan had a love for travel and adventure, always appreciating the experiences and memories along the way. One of his most cherished trips was his final bucket-list journey to Costa Rica, shared with his beloved wife and dear friends, Judy and Paul. Surrounded by breathtaking wildlife and enjoying world-class fishing, it was a vacation that brought him immense joy and one he truly treasured. His next favorite destination was the Soft Winds home on St. John in the Virgin Islands. A heartfelt thank you to Dave and Linda for including them in their trips to this paradise island.
Whether on the golf course, in the woods, by the water, or gathered with family and friends, Gaetan embraced the simple pleasures of life and the traditions he held dear.
A celebration of life will be held on 5-16-26 in the barn at Springbrook Golf Course - 11:00 - 2:00.
