October 5, 2012 | Harry & Patti Kasanow - Honolulu, Hawaii -- USA

Dear Candy, Matthew, Sandra, Lynne, Jay, Alex, Dave, Donna, Eric and Sarah:

We are both deeply saddened by the loss of Mark our dearest friend! He was an amazing husband, father, son, brother and will be missed by all.

He and I started our practices together back in 1984 and have been best friends spending weeks together every year for the last 20+ years in Maine, Wellesley and Hawaii.

Our brother like relationship reached deeply into my heart where he will remain forever!

How can one ever forget his infectious laughter, tender care for all those he knew and strong moral roots that he lived by?

I jus want to say that this planet is a lesser place without this Master of the Universe and he promised when I saw him last...that he would save me a good seat over there!

With all the Hugs, Love, Aloha & Peace once can send this way!!

Keep on Truckin' Mark!!

October 4, 2012 | Linda and John Noviello - Punta Gorda, Florida -- USA

Linda and I were sad to hear of your son Marks' passing. We know that he is now free of pain. He most certainly is now with God in a better place. We know that he will be surely missed by family and friends. Remember our stay on earth is only a temporary one. A kind of trial by God. We will all be re-united again in heaven. Again our deepest condolences.
Love Linda and John

My condolences to Candace, Matthew, Sandra and all of Mark's loved ones, family and friends. I was totally shocked and very sorry upon learning of your loss.

I worked for Mark and Candace doing security and dock removal when they first purchased their Woodstock property. It's been years but I still remember that they were wonderful and caring clients. I don't recall ever seeing Mark without a smile.

Wishing everyone the best in their future.

Dear, Matt Candy and Sandra
In the brief time I spent with your family in Maine I found some of the warmest memories of my life. Mark and I had a wonderful and hilarious conversation! He made me feel truly respected and adult which was a great comfort to me. I want to thank you all for sharing your home with me that winter, and to let you know that I will never forget his wit, brilliance, and genuine care he took in getting to know me. Thank you, Mark! It was really great to know you :)

It has been several years since I have seen Mark, so I was stunned and saddened to hear about his death. I am a colleague who started to work with Mark at Ameriprise Financial (IDS) in 1985. I admired his love for his family and friends,as well as his integrity.

I offer my sympthy to his wife and family at this difficult time.

To Candy, Matthew, Sandra and Alex, and all of Mark's extended family, we are so sorry and sad that Mark has passed. Know our thoughts are with you and of Mark at this time.
While we only met Mark a few years ago, we knew we had met a genuinely kind and good friend. Always an interesting and fun guy, we will miss many things, including sharing his home brews with him.
His time was too short.

September 28, 2012 | Bea and Steve Chorover - Jamaica Plain , MA -- USA

Dear Candace and family,

We are deeply saddened by the news of Mark's passing. We have been friends and clients since his first days as a financial advisor.

He was a most remarkable man; extremely caring, sensitive and generous. His skill at understanding and responding to our financial concerns was absolutely exceptional, as was his availability and insight. (We called him "our psychiatrist").

Please accept our sincere condolences. We
regret not being able to be with you all at the memorial service on Sunday.

September 28, 2012 | Mark Signore - Holliston, MA -- US

I was so very sorry to hear about Mark's passing. We were friends in High School and had lost touch...but had re-connected via e-mail. I wrote him out of the blue when my daughter was enrolling at Connecticut College and he was so happy to hear it. We found we had mutual friends and interests and had even been on the same blues cruise (Hot Tuna!) the night before we started e-mailing. Mark was a very kind soul. To his family I will give advice that has comforted me in the past - we keep our loved ones alive in our hearts and minds by sharing stories about them.

September 28, 2012 | Kirk Boggia - Natick, Ma -- 01760

September 27, 2012 | Joanne Seymour&Brian Ruh - South Dartmouth, MA -- USA

To Alex, and all of Mark’s family: We had the pleasure of working with Mark for over 25 years as our financial advisor, and knew he was more than our advisor. There was never any doubt that he saw us through caring eyes, always had our best interests in mind, and understood who we are. We remember his constant support, honesty, and wisdom, and felt secure with him as our partner even in difficult times. It was all the more wonderful to know that he shared our passion for environmental and social issues. We truly hope that the great memories you share of his life will soften the feelings of loss.
With sincerest sympathy~ Joanne Seymour and Brian Ruh

Dear Podolsky family,

I was deeply saddened to hear of Mark's passing. I was just thinking of him last week. We had worked together years ago when we were forming the new Financial Planning Assoc. Mark was a straight shooter, said what was on his mind and got the job done. He had a great sense of humor and will be missed. May fond memories help you find some comfort during this difficult time.

For a person whose presence in my life was purely professional, I always felt a very personal bond with Mark, from my first meeting in his office (noting his lizard cowboy boots), to our last one, when he calmly dropped the bomb about his illness. He helped me and my parents to feel comfortable and confident about our money, and not to stress about market fluctuations or other things beyond our control. Looks like he took his own advice re: control of cancer, and I am sure that his last days and months were filled with his distinctive laughter, and not with stress or regret. So glad he has Alex to carry on his exellent work. Rest in peace, Mark.

September 26, 2012 | Julia Keith - Brookline, MA -- USA

Dear Sandra, Matt and Candy,

My mom just shared this very sad news with me and I wanted to express my deepest condolences. I am thinking of you and remembering very fondly all the great times spent with your family when Sandra and I were young.

In recent years I have spent a fair amount of time in Maine where my boyfriend grew up, and I usually find myself reminiscing about one of the many times you generously invited me to your house in Woodstock. I was happy to learn that Candy and Mark had settled up there where it sounds like Mark was able to do what he loved best. I can still recall his lively laugh, his playful sense of humor, and his great love of life.

September 26, 2012 | Jean and Roger Keith - Wellesley, MA -- USA
