It was a privilege to visit Ellen at Horizons every week offering spiritual care as CHANS hospice chaplain. I wish I had known Ellen before MS made speaking very difficult. I love the imagery of her in The Summerland. Ellen was amazing for her spiritual strength in surviving significant losses. May your journey through adjusting to this loss bring you to peace. ❤🙏

To Ellen’s family: I worked with Ellen at BIW, and she was one of my favorite people. Smart, pleasant, enthusiastic, and always smiling. She was the horsepower behind upgrading BIW’s Purchasing System to a new application on the state-of-the-art (at that time) Wang system; John Bednarik (who passed in 2020) was the system architect, and I was system support. I was saddened to hear of her health challenges, especially since I lost my college roommate to MS when she was only 45 — also on June 20, 25 years ago in 1998. Godspeed, Ellen.
