Biography:

Donald E. Aubin, 84 passed away on September 25th, 2017.

Don was born in Presque Isle, Maine to Juliet & Norman Aubin on December 4th 1932 and was the youngest of 3 brothers. He attended Presque Isle schools excelling in football and basketball. Known for his quick wit and rebellious nature, he lovingly earned the nickname Don "punk" Aubin by many of his peers. His sense of humor was a defining trait of his personality his family adored. He enlisted and served in the National Guard. And had always been an avid hunter and fisherman.

Shortly after high school he met and married Dawn Robinson and together they had 4 children. He was employed for over 30 years as a tractor trailer truck driver and was a strong provider for his family. Don drove millions of miles nationwide during his profession. After retiring from truck driving, He went on to own and operate the Oak Leaf Motel in Scarborough, Maine. After the passing of his wife Dawn in 1997, he moved to Micco, Florida to enjoy retirement. Shortly after moving, Don found love again with Ginny Harrigan and they happily married in 2002. Each summer, they would drive up to Freeport, Maine to visit family and friends and would always have cookouts and lobster feeds. While in Florida, Don had become an active volunteer for the Brevard County Sheriffs Office in 2001. He was a recipient of a variety of awards and recognition including three Presidential Volunteer Service Gold Awards, South Precinct COP Volunteer of the Month and a variety of letters of appreciation for his service and contributions. He volunteered over 750 hours a year, for the past several years to the BCSO serving as COP coordinator. Don was very dedicated to his service and made his family very proud. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Don is predeceased by mother Juliet Aubin and father Norman Aubin. His first wife, Dawn, his brother Nelson, a grandson Matthew and a granddaughter Jessica.

He is survived by his wife Ginny, brother Burton, daughters Lisa Aubin, Juliet Perkins and her husband Steve Perkins, Dixie Barnett and a son David Aubin. He is also survived by several adoring grandchildren, great grandchildren, 4 step children, 3 step grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
