Alice L Bennett

Date of Death: March 11, 2020

Date of Birth: July 6, 1934

Biography:

Alice L Bennett passed away on March 11, 2020 after a long illness, surrounded by her family. She  was born on July 6, 1934 a daughter of Benjamin (Albert) Hall and Eva Hall (Parent).

She was predeceased by her parents Eva and Albert, her sisters Florence and Theresa Hall, Carol Hagan and Edith Johnson, her brothers Steve, Frank and Edward Hall, her son William (Billy) Staples and the love of her life, Frank Bennett.

She is survived by her brother Ralph Hall, her children Mike and Albert Field, Donna, Deborah and Lori Staples, Terri Reny, her granddaughter she raised from a young child, Crystal Staples and her stepsons Steve and Robert Bennett.  She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

Though she had many jobs as a young adult she was most proud of receiving her nursing degree as an LPN and working in the nursing field for 27 years. Most of those years were gladly spent at the Freeport Nursing Home.

Her lifelong passion, and the thing she enjoyed the most, was writing and singing country songs, and playing acoustic guitar.  She was happiest jamming and performing at many different events with her band, The Casco Bay Ramblers.  They were also well known as a staple for many years in the annual Yarmouth Clam Festival Parade and the Moxie Festival Parade, to name a few.

She is loved and will be missed by all her family and friends.  We are all comforted to know that when she passed, she was welcomed by the family and friends that passed before her, eagerly waiting for her to sing to them once again.  However, we are most comforted to know that she was greeted by the love of her life, and is once again in his protective embrace.
