Biography:

Catherine Kay Davies, age 75, Sabattus Maine, formerly of Wayne, Ohio passed away Friday Dec. 20, 2013 in Lewiston, Me.  She was born on November 2, 1938. In Ashland, Ohio to late Harold Bixby and Marguerite Bixby (Sowers). Kay married Jan M. Davies on November 28, 1959 in Gibsonburg, Ohio.

Surviving Kay is her loving husband of 54 years, Jan, Sons Jim and wife Robin Davies of Cygnet, Ohio, Tim and wife Laura of Risingsun, Ohio, Steve and wife Suzanne of Sabattus, Maine, Mike and wife Brenda of Weston, Ohio: Daughter Kim Davies of Honey Creek, Iowa; 13 Grandchildern & 10 Great-Grandchildren.

Kay was preceded in death by her mother and father.

Kay was a 1956 Graduate of Gibsonburg High School. She was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

Friends will be received for a memorial visitation from 1-4 PM on Friday (January 3, 2013) at Barndt funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio, with a Bereavement luncheon immediately following at the Albert Bowe Post #338 American Legion in Bradner, Ohio.  In Lieu of flowers has asked that you make a memorial donation to the Wayne Volunteer Fire Department c/o Barndt Funeral Home 121 West South Street Wayne, OH 43466.
