Della Lera Drain

Biography:

Mrs. Della Lera Drain, 83, passed away on October 22, 2013. She was a resident of Marshwood  Center in Lewiston, Maine.

Mrs. Drain was born at Bath Memorial Hospital on March 24, 1930 to Leroy and Evelyn Wyman.  The second eldest of 9 children; she attended local schools and worked at Sebasco Estates as a teenager.  She was married to Frank Byrd Drain on January 2, 1957. They were married 38 years.  Mr. Drain passed away on August 23, 1997.

Mrs. Drain enjoyed sewing, knitting, bowling, and visits with friends and family.  She and Mr. Drain hosted many family gatherings in their home. She was generous and giving. She loved to travel.  She was a wonderful cook.

Surviving are her son, Frank Drain and wife Terri, Sabattus; granddaughter Samantha Drain, Windham; six brothers and sisters:  May Gilliam, Phillip Wyman and wife Janet, Bruce Wyman and wife Ellen, all of West Point; Reid Wyman and wife Beverly, Vassalboro;  Donna Nielsen and husband Bob, Brunswick; Marsha Dalton and husband Roger, Phippsburg;  sister in law Judy Jenkins and husband Mac,  Johnson City, TN. There are also many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Drain was predeceased by her parents, brother Jamie Wyman and her sister Georgia Wright.

A celebration of life will be held for Mrs. Drain at a later date.
