Biography:
Laurence E. Gray, 59, of North Vassalboro, passed away on January 15th, 2011 following a long illness.
He was born March 22, 1951, in Bar Harbor, Maine. The son of James and Janet (Fennelly) Gray.
He grew up in North Vassalboro, and attended schools in North Vassalboro and Waterville. He graduated from Waterville High School in 1971.
Larry married Donna Curtis in 1983. They loved to spend there time together taking trips around Maine and New Hampshire. They included car shows and Maine lighthouses in their travels because they enjoyed those. Larry always had his camera with him to photograph their finds. They also made stops at yard sales and flea markets along the way. Their trips were put to a stop after Donna got sick and then passed way in 2004.
Larry worked in many positions throughout his working career. He was a laborer at all of them. His last position he held before he became disabled was as a custodian.
He is predeceased by his wife Donna Curtis Gray, his mother Janet Gray, and his brother Robert Gray.
He is survived by his father James Gray of North Vassalboro, his daughter and son in law Jennifer and Brian Ward of Winthrop, his grandson Joshua E. Ward of Winthrop, his granddaughter Elizabeth Ward of Winthrop, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A graveside service will be planned for the spring.
