Biography:

BRUNSWICK- Joseph Robert (Bob) Guerette, 87, passed away quietly at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, November 10th, 2015 after a battle with cancer.
He was born in Portland, ME on December 7th, 1927 the son of Joseph Desire Guerette, and Josephine Mary Martin Guerette, of Brunswick, ME.

He attended Brunswick schools and married Verna Estelle Joslyn, of South Winsor, ME. On May 1, 1953.

He was a Veteran of World War II and the Korean War and spent time with the Merchant Marines. He held numerous occupations, most notably as the owner of Guerette a light trucking and rubbish removal business in the Brunswick area for 29 years. He had been a member of the American Legion in Bath and Brunswick for many years. He most enjoyed spending time with family when not hunting, fishing, traveling. He wintered in Florida for many years.

Joseph is predeceased by his wife Verna E. Joslyn Guerette, four sisters and eight brothers. He is survived by a brother, Richard Guerette, of Harpswell, ME; four children, Darlene, and husband, Gordon Field, of Brunswick, Me. and their children Bradley and Heather; Joseph Guerette, and wife, Janet, of South. Deerfield, MA. and their children, Jason, Sarah and Nathan ; Brenda, and husband, Mark Farmer, of Madison, ME and their children. Rachel White, Jared and Tyler; Kayleen Guerette, of Brunswick, ME and her son Kieth. And a loving companion June Bryant of Bath, ME.

He had nine great-grandchildren: Catie Field, Allie Field, Anna Haskins, Victoria White, Connor White, Emma Farmer, Isla Wilson and Liley Wilson. He very much enjoyed spending time with and hearing stories about each of them.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Chans/Hospice nurses and the many doctors who lovingly cared about and for our Dad during his illness.

A grave side remembrance Service is being held at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 163 Mt. Vernon Road in Augusta on Friday, November 20th, 2015 at 10:00 AM.

In Lieu of Flowers the Family would like donations made to a charitable organization of you choosing.
