Lynne Tardiff Hagan

Date of Death: August 19, 2018

Date of Birth: September 9, 1935

Biography:

Lynne Tardiff Hagan, 82, of Brunswick, passed away at Horizon’s Living & Rehab Center on August 19, 2018 after a brief battle with brain cancer.

Lynne was born in Lewiston on September 9, 1935. She was the oldest of seven children born to the late Rosario and Virginia Tardiff of West Bowdoin. She graduated from Brunswick High School in 1953. In 1955 she married John Hagan of Brunswick, where they raised their four children.

Lynne worked at Senters in Brunswick before having children. She worked at home as bookkeeper for several businesses that she and John started up together over the years. Their last business venture before retiring was the start up of Brunswick Taxi, which was operated out of their home with their main focus on driving elderly to their doctor appointments and grocery shopping. She was a talented quilter who enjoyed gifting them to others. Lynne volunteered at Parkview Hospital for fundraising fairs. She enjoyed shopping trips, craft fairs and chatting over lunch or coffee with her many friends. Lynne will probably be most remembered by her beautiful smile which would light up a room.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by John Hagan and a brother, Dean Tardiff. She leaves behind her two sisters, Carole Sligh and her husband Harvey of Pennsylvania, Laurie Fuller and her husband Barry of West Bowdoin, three brothers, Terry Tardiff and his wife Pat of Lisbon Falls, Randy Tardiff and his wife Sue of Lisbon Falls and Tom Tardiff and his wife Mary Carr of Colorado. Her four children, John Hagan and his wife Cindy of Lusby, MD, Jill Annese and her partner Vinnie Matson of Topsham, Debbie Bennett and her husband Jim of Biddeford and Marc Hagan and his wife Dawn of Topsham, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Lynne is also survived by several longtime friends who were very dear to her. She is also survived by her companion of ten years, Ardain (Zeb) Trask of Newport, ME and Lake Wales, FL. Together they enjoyed traveling and exploring during their winters in Florida.

The family wishes to thank the many friends who visited Lynne, and helped in many other ways, as Lynne progressed through this disease. A special thank you to the residents and staff at Coastal Landing, Horizon’s and the CHANS Hospice Care visitors. Donations can be made in Lynne’s memory to either The American Cancer Society or Chans Home Health & Hospice Care.

A private memorial service will be held.
