Biography:

Augusta-Edna M. Hutchinson, 75, of Drew St. Passed away on December 26, 2010 after a long illness at Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Monmouth on May 17, 1935 the daughter of Wesley and Sadie Frost.

Edna was employed by DW Adams of Augusta as a hairdresser.  She also worked for the Augusta School Department in the School Lunch Program for over 18 years.

She enjoyed spending time at her log cabin on Lake Cobbessee with her family and grandchildren.   Edna also loved to watch the Boston Red Sox with her grandsons.

Edna is survived by her husband of 53 years John Hutchinson Sr., of Augusta, daughter Vicky Baker of California, sons Jeff Hutchinson of Augusta, Michael Hutchinson of Augusta, stepson John Hutchinson Jr. of Chelsea, Ronald Frost of Bangor, Roland Frost and his wife Shirley of Leeds, sister in-law’s Donna Frost of Monmouth, Janice Frost of Monmouth, grandsons Dylan, Max, Eric, and Shawn Hutchinson.  She was predeceased by her parents, sister Geneva Robinson, and a brother Kenneth Frost.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 30^th at 2pm at the New Maine Veterans Cemetery Mt. Vernon Rd. Augusta.  A gathering will follow at the American Legion Post 4 46 Griffin St. Gardiner.
