Biography:
LEWISTON-Roberta L. Hyman-Soucy, 50, of Lewiston, died on Wed. April 25th, 2012 at CMMC with her family by her side.
She was born May 22nd, 1961 in Lewiston to parents Melvin and Bernadette (Dube) Hyman.
Roberta was a Rainbow Girl, and belonged to Eastern Star, Pinecone #26. She attended Auburn schools, graduating from Edward Little High School in 1979. She later attended college at USM in Gorham. She was a substitute teacher in the Lewiston Auburn area for many years.
She loved animals, especially cats. She enjoyed her lobster dinners, reading, and going to head beach. In her last years at Russell Park, she enjoyed the activities, especially creating crafts to give away.
Roberta was predeceased by her parents, Melvin and Bernadette Hyman; and a nephew, Jason Phillips.
She is survived by her siblings, Bernadette Toppa of CT, Leonard Phillips of RI, Brenda Marichal of MA: and her nieces and nephews, Lisa, Peter, Susan, Cathy and Eric.
As per her request, there will be no service or calling hours.
The family would like to thank the staff at Russell Park for taking such good care of Roberta in her time of need.
