Biography:

Alice M. Jackman—Auburn—Alice "Rusty" Going Jackman, 88 of Auburn, previously of Kennebunk, died February 9, 2017 at Clover Manor. She was born on September 15, 1928 to Derby and Marion Going. Rusty was a teacher at Rectory School in Pomfret, CT as well as at Kennebunk High School, Kennebunk, ME. She was a member of the Westbrook College Alumni Board of Directors. Rusty enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and enjoyed teaching and working with her students. She was predeceased by her husband, John "Skip" R. Jackman Jr., as well as her parents. Survivors include her son Richard D. Jackman and wife Becky of Painsville, OH, daughter, Christine E. Davis (Jackman) and husband Herb of Auburn, ME, brother Lindsay "Bud" Going and wife Alice of Aberdeen, NC, sister Beverly Morris and husband Frank of Sanford, FL, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. There will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Maine Chapter, 303 US Route One, Suite 2C, Scarborough, ME 04074 or Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, 15 Strawberry Avenue, Lewiston, ME 04240.
