AUGUSTA - Constance "Connie" Jacques, 85, of Augusta, died suddenly at her home on November 30, 2016, after a long illness.
She was born August 11, 1931 in Augusta, Maine to James and Eva McLaughlin. She was an active member of St. Augustine Church for many years, and served as a Eucharistic minister.

She was well known for knitting mittens, sweaters and scarfs for the community charities. Also very well known for her love of painting. She was a kind and compassionate friend to all who knew her. A very giving soul and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.


She was predeceased by her husband Fernand Jacques, two children Richard Lee Maheux, Michael Alan Maheux, all from Augusta.

Survived by her significant other Harry Anneley, who lovingly cared for her for the past year of her life. Sister Theresa Compagna & husband John of Chelsea. Sons Paul Maheux & wife Delores of Romney, West Virginia, Mark Maheux of Meriden ,CT., daughters Donna Boucher & husband John of Charlestown, RI, and Debi Fortin & husband Larry of Farmington ,Me. Several grandchildren Rob Maheux of West Gardiner, Me. Christopher Maheux of Sabbatus, Me., Rene Brochu of Augusta, Bill Brochu of Douglas, MA eith Michaud of Boynton Beach, FL., Tammy Michaud of West Hartford, CT., Mark Maheux Jr. Meriden, CT, Chad Maheux, Meriden, CT. Allison Daniels of Chelsea, and Brady Maheux of Augusta, Me. and several great-grandchildren .


The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Connie's neighbor, Paul Douin, for the many years of help he gave to her.
