Biography:

North Yarmouth-Catherine E. Morgan, 86, of the Baston Rd. North Yarmouth passed away on December 22, 2009 at Maine Medical Center , Portland.

She was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts on October 6, 1923 the daughter of Thomas and Edith (Prescot) Trainor Jr.

Cassie married the late Stanley B. Morgan in 1945 in Bethel.

She enjoyed reading, fishing, wonderful times camping in Reily Plantation and spending time with her family.   She was also a library trustee at the Whitman Memorial Library in Bryant Pond.

Cassie prided herself on always being a “lady”.

She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Her great-grandchildren called her great-grammie “up a-dittie” because she could always sit on the floor and get up with grace and ease.

Cassie was predeceased by her parents, husbands Stanley B. Morgan and Norman LaJoie and a sister Edith Paul.

Catherine is survived by her son Thomas and his wife Jeanne of South Paris, daughter Donna Smith and her husband Norman of North Yarmouth, grandchildren Shanda Morgan, Thomas Morgan, Christa Ayer, S. Andrew Smith, and 7 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Bryant Pond in the spring.
