Biography:

Augusta – Carol (Thorne) Quimby, 81, of Farmingdale passed away on December 25, 2017 at the Maine Veteran's Home after a long and courageous battle with Lewy-Body Dementia.
Carol was a member of the Lighthouse Church in Farmingdale and considered Brian and Celia Kline and well as the congregants to be her extended family. Carol worked for the State of Maine as a secretary for her entire career. In her spare time Carol was an avid reader who she loved to sew, do needlework and jigsaw puzzles.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Donald of Farmingdale and a daughter Laurie (Quimby) Barrett and her longtime partner Frank Tunnera of Saugus, MA. Carol is also survived by her niece Rhonda Hayward of Vassalboro and many other nieces and nephews.
Carol was born on May 12, 1936 to the late Charles and Mabel (Jenkins) Thorne and the youngest of seven children and was predeceased by them; Dorothy Carr, Lillian Newton, Madeline Smith, Beverly Howard, Ronald Thorne and Charles Thorne.
