Dorothy A. Quimby 

Monmouth-Dorothy A. Quimby, 77, passed away peacefully at her home in Monmouth on June 1, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. 

She was born March 10, 1933 in Waterville, Maine the daughter of Raymond T and Helda (Bell) Handley. 

She was married in 1952 to Walter O. Quimby who passed away in 1994. 

She was employed for 20 years at a local shoe factory in Norridgewock and then pursued a nursing career and retired in 2005. She enjoyed family time very much. 

She is survived by two sons Edward Quimby of Madison, Michael and wife Valerie Quimby of Fairfield, daughter Pamela Levasseur and husband Thomas of Monmouth, brothers Robert Handley of Fairfield, Charlie Handley of Madison, Joe Handley of  Norridgewock, sisters Thelma Maxwell of Oakland, Mollie Ashe of Myrtle Beach SC. Joan Perkins of  Madison, Betty Goodman of Albuquerque NM,  eight grand children, five Great Grand children, and several nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by two sons, two daughters and two brothers, Addison Handley and Carrol Handley.

There will be a graveside service at the Sunset View Cemetery in Norridgewock at 2pm on Saturday, June 5th.
