Allan Cole Reynolds

Biography:

AUBURN-Allan Cole Reynolds, 97, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 22^nd, 2018 at Clover Health Care.

He was born in Auburn on May 28^th, 1921 the son of Merton and Norma (Cole) Reynolds. They knew they had the perfect child which is why they only had one.

He was married to the late June Rose Bradbury on May 29^th, 1941.

He was educated in the Auburn school system, graduating from Edward Little High School in 1939.

Allan served in the US Army in 1945.

He worked for Peter Allen Lumber Company until 1947 when he went independently into building over 75 houses. After retirement, he built several doll houses to scale, replicating his own house, his daughter’s house and many others for several relatives.

His hobbies included jigsaw puzzles, making tie blankets which he donated to friends, family, and every person who crossed the threshold into his home, playing Bingo, and doing word search puzzles.

Allan was a very positive person, a special man who was very talented, smart, energetic, and a friend to all.

He is survived by one son, Rev. Richard Reynolds of Altmont, NY; one daughter, Barbara Nadeau and her husband David of Poland; 6 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, June of 65 years; a son, Bruce Reynolds; a daughter-in-law, Arlene Beesley-Reynolds; and a grandson, Ryan Reynolds.

Many thanks to the caretakers of Allan in the Belfast Unit of Clover, and also to his hospice nurse, Margaret.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 3 at 11 am at Funeral Alternatives, 25 Tampa Street, Lewiston.  Burial will be private.
