Biography:
Augusta-Glendon N. Sturtevant, 70, of Pleasant Hill Rd. passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at his residence.
He was born on August 15,1939 in Lewiston the son of Frank G. Sturtevant and Beatrice L. (Hall) Sturtevant.
Glen graduated from Edward Little High in 1958. He went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Air Force where he loved to fly. After the service he worked several years in banking before entering the Maine State Police in 1968 where he served 28 years mostly in the Motor Vehicle Inspection Program retiring in 1996. After retirement Glen worked as a driver for several years at Charlie’s Auto Mall in Augusta where he made many good friends.
Glen was a member of Tranquil Masonic Lodge #29 of Auburn.
Glen is survived by a son Andrew Sturtevant and his wife Angela of Saco, brother Gleason Sturtevant and his wife Pam of Florida, his companion of 18 years Susan Weed of Augusta, an uncle and cousins.
A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, February 9th at noon at the New Maine Veterans Cemetery on Mt. Vernon Rd. Augusta with military honors.
